FAQS

Insurance & Payment

What insurance do you accept?
We are in network and accept a variety of insurance policies. You are responsible for contacting your insurance and confirming your policy covers mental health therapy. Give us a call for more information.
How do I pay my co-pay or deductible?
We accept cash, checks and credit card payments at time of session. You may also pay your bill by credit card through our patient portal.

Cancellation & No-show Policy

How do I cancel?
We allow cancellations by patient portal message, phone call/voicemail, text message, and email as they are all time stamped. Please cancel at minimum 24 hours prior to your appointment time.
What if I cancel within 24 hours of my session?
There is a $25 charge for no shows or sessions canceled within 24 hours of the session. *
Each calendar year you are allowed one non-charged "pass" for a no-show or cancellation.
Our billing department will charge you for the $25 no-show/late-cancellation fee after the first non-charged "pass."*Insurance will not pay this fee. * This does not apply to patients using Medicaid or VACCN.
What is the difference between a no show and a cancellation?
A scheduled appointment is considered a "no-show" if you arrive 15 or more minutes later for a session. It is then at the therapist's discretion whether they are able to meet with you or not.
Established Patients
Established patients who late cancel/no-show within 24 hours of the appointment three times may not be able to reschedule an appointment. It is up to the therapists discretion whether to continue. Five late cancels/no-shows within a calendar year will result in you being referred back to your primary care provider.
New Patients
New patients with a scheduled first-time appointment who late cancel or no show within 48 hours twice will most likely not be offered a chance to schedule for a third time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I feel like I don't "click" with my therapist?
We all know the first or second session might feel a bit awkward, but if after time you still do not feel like your therapist is not the right fit for you, no hard feelings! Therapy is about YOU! We have several other therapists on board that might be a better fit.
Can I bring my (quiet and friendly) pet with me to my session?
Due to other clients potentially having allergies or problems around animals, we ask that you call the office first. However, if given enough notice we will try to accommodate you.
I am extremely sensitive to smell, will your office bother me?
We have a strict no fragrance policy and have multiple air purifiers around the building. We do not use candles or essential oil fragrance. Please let your therapist know if you ever have any issues. We also ask that our clients refrain from strong fragrances when entering our building.
